Wildlife Habitat

When a tree falls in the woods....it doesn't really matter if anyone is there or hears it,  what matters is when they fall, and they all do, as they are meant to, they provide habitat and cover for the wildlife living in the area.

From cover for rabbits to hide from a hawk or coyote, to a place for a fox to build a den, Deer love to lie down in an area they feel hidden in.... habitat is very important to animals living in and around your woodlot.  Most logging companies aren't looking out for any animals outside of their employees in their work crews.

Leaving hides and brushpiles for the wildlife is a good way to insure small and large game have the cover and habitat they need to survive and prosper.  Most animals dont feel at home in a clear-cut or bare bottom forest floor,  they need the natural cover mother nature provides by leaving debris behind after the tree dies or falls to the forest floor.
